The Cool Web Directory
I don't want to sound hypercritical, but I really don't like web directories that look so, uhm, "sterile" (for lack of a better term). You probably know what I mean. There are web directories that have nothing but glowing blue text links and black text on a plain, white background. These directories do the job, but can't they be more pleasing to the eyes at the same time?
This is the reason why I like Max Web Directory so much. This web directory has more eye appeal than other online directories put together. It looks clean and professional with its easy-to-read text and readily accessible and visible tabs, but it is far from boring. Unlike other web directories, it successfully makes use of pastel colors and overtones. Furthermore, it has a thumbnail image for every one of its main categories.
